Your data

Delete your account

You can delete your NxtDue account and everything in it, yourself, without asking anyone and without giving a reason. This page explains both ways to do it, exactly what goes, and what is kept and for how long.

Fastest

Option 1 — from inside the app

This is immediate and needs nobody's help. Open NxtDue and go to:

1Settings — the gear icon on the home screen.
2Account
3Delete account, then confirm.

Want a copy first? Settings → Privacy & security → Export gives you everything you have put in, before you delete it.

No app installed

Option 2 — request it from here

If you have already removed the app, send us a request and we will do it for you. Because a mobile number is the whole account, we will text a one-time code to that number to confirm the request really is yours — we cannot delete an account on the word of an email alone.

This opens your own email app with the request written out — nothing on this page is sent anywhere until you press send. You can skip the form and write to nxtdue@gmail.com directly; include the mobile number on the account.

Cancel your subscription first. Deleting your NxtDue account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription — only the store can do that, and it will keep charging you otherwise. iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → NxtDue → Cancel. Android: Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → NxtDue → Cancel.

What happens, and when

WhenWhat happens
ImmediatelyYou are signed out on every device. Every active session and refresh token is revoked. Your mobile number is released, so it can be used to open a new account. Anything you shared into someone else's family space stops being visible to them.
For 30 daysYour data is retained but inaccessible, so that an accidental tap is survivable. Write to us within this window if you change your mind — the address is on the support page.
After 30 daysEverything below is permanently deleted. It cannot be recovered after this point, by you or by us.
Web requestsWe start within 3 working days of confirming the code, and the same 30-day clock then runs.

What is deleted

  • Your account — mobile number, display name, and every setting attached to it.
  • Every reminder you created, with its renewal history, amounts, notes and categories.
  • Every document you uploaded, including the stored file itself.
  • Your family space and its memberships — both the one you own and your seat in anyone else's.
  • Any invitations you sent or received.
  • Your push notification tokens, so no further notification can reach your device.
  • Your Gmail connection, if you had one, including the encrypted refresh token and every stored proposal. (You can also revoke NxtDue from your Google account directly.)
  • Every session and sign-in code associated with the account.

What is kept, and why

  • Short-lived operational logs may briefly contain the IP address a request came from. These are kept for a short period for security and abuse prevention, then discarded on their own schedule. Phone numbers are masked in them.
  • Records we are legally required to keep — for example, evidence of a payment where tax law requires it. These come from Apple or Google, not from your reminders, and never include the contents of your account.
  • Content you shared into someone else's family space is removed from their view immediately. Anything they separately created themselves is theirs and stays with them.
  • Aggregate, anonymised counts — how many accounts exist, how many reminders were created in a month. These cannot be traced back to you.

Deleting less than everything

You do not have to delete the whole account to get rid of something. Inside the app you can delete an individual reminder, an individual document, or disconnect Gmail on its own — each takes effect straight away, and storage is released immediately.
